Internet Usage
Think the Internet is big now. Internet usage is growing faster than the world population and won’t even reach 50% penetration until the year 2030. That’s a lot more online ministry potential to tap into.
AMD partnered with the Internet World Stats organization to develop a graph outlining Internet usage with population growth. The stats are important to look at in determining what ministry focus you should have. Think of it as a demographical outlook in determining who the audience is or will become.

Free Book!
Just received a link to a free preview copy of the book "unChristian" by David Kinnaman and Gabe Lyons. I’m excited to see what their perspective is on how the world views Christians in today’s environment. It’s becoming more and more apparent that Christians have an image problem on today’s world. This is something that doesn’t change overnight and so it is important to start looking inward instead of just judging the secular image.

Just Ask
Amazon.com launched a new free service called askville, a service where any question is answered. If you have a question or answer about anything, then head over to askville.com What I found interesting was the questions that are needing to be answered about religion and God. If you have an answer to a question then all you need is a free amazon.com account. Talk about an easy way to witness and introduce someone to Jesus.

Values = Vote
Matching up your values, religious beliefs and social concerns up with a presidential candidate can be a tough task. Well, now there is a online tool that helps you choose based on what you believe, even if your not sure what you believe. Connect2Elect.com masters this difficult sometimes confusing connection. I gave it a try and was surprised about some of the results. You might find that you have been endorsing the wrong candidate all along!
I mention this site because so many times politics divide us religiously. I think this is a site to help bridge the gap of understanding, instead of assuming or believing everything the media tells you.
{Quote of the day}
It’s hard sometimes witnessing to someone that is a Christian with Republican values when you are Christian with Democratic values.

Podcasting Presention
Just got back from speaking at the Aventist Communicator Conference in Nashville, TN. "The Power of Podcasting" was well attended and something I always enjoying discussing. Joe of godgeeks.org also spoke and has been kind enough to host the audio of the seminar!!

College Graduates = Democrats
I just noticed a map of the 2000 Census on college graduate percentages based on US counties. An interesting comparison is revealed in the map that I’m sure politicians have noticed. The counties with the highest college graduates are for the most part democratic counties. I won’t be surprised to see in this election some spin on this. It also brings up an interesting dynamic for relational ministry in communities with this makeup. The closest county to where I live with the highest number of college graduates is Charlottesville, VA. This county happens to be extremely democratic as well. This extreme contrast is probably less noticeable in most area’s, Charlottesville, VA is a very unique city.
Check out also zipskinny.com this is a cool web 2.0 way of looking at the census data in your community.
